From Teenage Assistant to Seasoned Virtual Assistant

At just 17, Sheryl started her professional journey as an assistant to the CEO. Within a year, she was promoted to Branch Manager at a local wedding coordinator company, where she honed her leadership skills and learned valuable business skills such as project management, communication, and problem-solving. She also introduced social media strategies to the company, demonstrating her early adaptability to new technologies.

Diversifying Experience and Expanding Skills

Sheryl’s thirst for growth led her to a new role as a General Virtual Assistant at a major telecommunications company in Miami. Two years later, she landed a similar position at an ecommerce company in Pennsylvania. However, after two years, the company faced bankruptcy, forcing Sheryl to make a difficult decision between pursuing her education or career.

Pivoting towards Passion and Innovation

With her accounting degree in sight, Sheryl decided to pursue her true passion for design and technology. She joined a Junk Removal Company in Colorado as an Executive Assistant, where she excelled in onboarding virtual assistants, being promoted as Head of Customer Service, and taking on additional responsibilities such as social media management, website edits, and email marketing. Her entrepreneurial spirit and initiative led her to suggest cold calling and forming partnerships with realtors and other industries to boost sales.
